About me

This should really be 'About Us'

I'd like to be a writer. I think I could be a writer. The problem is, I never write. I have a friend who also writes here (or at least they will one day). They have the most amazing ideas and plot twists and surprises, but unfortunately doesn't write them down either. This is all about the problems and excuses in changing from someone who wants to be a writer, to someone who actually writes. And you know, maybe actually publishes something one day. By now you should have realised - we're writing about being chronically unable to write.

So, we're going to have to come up with two pseudonyms to differentiate who is writing what. Since I have the dubious honour of being the first one out of the gate, I'm choosing Scribbler as my pen name. Why the hell not? I'm the first one to post here!

Why the title?

It comes from a 3 issue graphic novel called Hard Boiled from Frank Miller and Geof Darrow. I won't describe the plot (Its good - those who know Frank Miller's work don't need me to tell you that), but I do remember that in the readers letters section, there was one letter that should go down in history. I couldn't read it all the way through because I just cried with laughter. It was classic. I'm not going to publish it here, but there is a link that I found for those who want to take a look. In my defence, I was a teen, and these things were funny to me. Some would say that we may still be teenagers in some a few a lot of ways.

Also, I'm not good at design. Or colours. Or fonts. I still don't get the furore over comic sans - that's how much I'm in the 'not-getting-it' zone.
